Your Role and Responsibilities
Liqueo are looking for a reliable Accounts Assistant to join the finance team. This role would include supporting the following functions; purchase ledger, sales ledger, reconciling bank accounts, managing staff expenses and improving accounting procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will have excellent attention to detail, be proactive in your approach and be able to problem solve effectively. Due to the exciting fast paced environment, the employee would need to be able to adapt and be open to introducing and changing processes.
Responsibilities:
• Raising sales invoices for consultants time through Xero Projects.
• Ensuring consultants time is recorded accurately.
• Processing client remittances.
• Credit Control.
• Managing bank reconciliations.
• Raising POs and processing supplier invoices.
• Reviewing and processing staff expenses.
• Maintaining the fixed asset register in Xero, including posting depreciation.
• Assist in preparing journals, accruals, and month-end schedules.
• Ensuring quality control over financial transactions, including VAT coding.
• Support with management accounts and audit preparations.
• Support the managing of the finance mailboxes on a daily basis.
• Maintaining and updating process notes.
Requirements and skills:
• AAT Level 2 or above.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Sound knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with Xero would be advantageous
• Proficient in excel with formula knowledge for example, pivot tables and v-look ups.
• Demonstrates initiative and takes ownership of tasks, while working collaboratively in a team environment.
